Corporate Conflict Resolution Training - Ripple Learning

Conflict Resolution

Onsite corporate conflict resolution workshops

Corporate training that provides the skills needed to de-escalate the strong emotions that arise during conflict and then move forward with future-focused problem-solving

Learn how to resolve conflict disputes effectively while maintaining professional relationships and team cohesion

Many people feel uncomfortable with, or distressed by, conflict. We can find ourselves saying things we regret or nothing at all and then reflecting on all the things we wish we'd said differently. Conflict Resolution corporate training gives attendees the skills to engage constructively to resolve conflicts with and between colleagues and externally with clients or customers.

What your employees will learn in this conflict resolution corporate training:

  • Making sense of how conflict arises and escalates
  • Considering the costs of conflict when we don't engage effectively
  • Exploring the ways in which conflict can also be constructive
  • How to analyse conflict to identify the real issues and engage with each type of issue effectively
  • Exploring the extent to which individual responses to conflict may vary depending on an individual's default conflict mode, personality type, generational and cultural background and mental health
  • How the brain and body responds to stress/distress during conflict and how it affects our capacity for rational problem solving
  • Conflict resolution principles and processes for a range of situations
  • Skills to regulate our own emotions and stay calm in the midst of conflict
  • How to listen deeply to de-escalate strong emotions in others and identify their underlying needs
  • Skills for assertive communication
  • How to raise an issue without triggering defensiveness
  • How to apologise effectively when necessary
  • How to work effectively with 'high conflict' personalities

Customised role-play and real life scenarios

We customise our approach and each conflict resolution workshop to address your particular issues, within your industry. Our facilitators develop role-play scenarios which are realistic for your workplace and job roles.

We like to offer participants the opportunity to practice their skills in a supportive environment so they feel confident when dealing with the emotions or anger of others in real life.

The way we do this depends on the needs and personalities within your team. Some workplaces embrace the opportunity to participate in role-plays to practice their skills. Others prefer to discuss how they would handle a range of real-life scenarios in small groups and then practice their skills at home.

Choose what works for you

  1. One Hour - Typically introduces the key concepts and provides an overview of the LEARN to listen model of deep listening. It is a popular option for a 'lunch and learn' session or evening webinar.
  2. Half Day - Typically covers all content areas, includes a demonstration of skills and provides space for half an hour of skills practice or small group discussion.
  3. Full Day - After covering all content, the focus is on building confidence in the execution of skills – taking your team on a journey through the stages of the adult learning cycle; from unconscious incompetence, through conscious incompetence to conscious competence through participation in lots of role-play practice.
  4. Further coached role-play sessions (ratio of 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3) can be arranged for staff members who need to be able to take their skills to the stage where they can competently handle any situation without having to think consciously about what they're doing.
